And another that wouldn't vacate my mind until it got what it wanted

Death is unquestionably part of the every day
The dark shadow dulling the bright light of a happy world
Unseen fears lurking in the shadow
The recognition of the unavoidable
But does the mind shy away from the inevitable
Too afraid of the end to enjoy the present
Does death unthinkingly bring the end of a good life
Or provide sanctuary to those who have waited for nothing but the end?

Sometimes words come to you in odd places... this took over my head whilst at work and wouldn't leave until it got my full attention

A shooting star lighting up the sky
Falling as a comet, burying itself deep into the earth of the heart
Changing the shape of the world
Filling up the deep recess it has made
But when it is lifted from its place
Leaving a deep unhealing hole
Cracks appear and tear apart the very essence of its being
Fissures ripping the fragile world into shattered pieces

Caverns of a needing heart - Real beginnings

Beginnings do not just appear at the start of a story, although the first may well be the purest. There are many beginnings in a lifetime, each just as important as the previous. Beginnings signify the need for change, the need for expansion of the life already lived, the passion a person has for something new. Beginnings tell the story of growth, love, alteration and inevitably, endings. Perhaps, the beginning of an end is the most significant of them all, as the end of one event causes the beginning of a new.

And so Caverns of a needing heart is of the purest beginning. The start of the journey to an end, begun.
